Dear collegues,
I must do some preliminary calculations and I'm looking for typical data of a synchronous generator:
A = 6 MVA
Vr = 11 kV
f = 50 Hz
pf = 0.8
4 poles

Could anybody provide me some indication about resistance and reactances?

Thank you very much.
Alex

Not really. It varies tremendously with the design of the machine. If you provide more information about what you are trying to do, maybe we can provide better help.

Thanks Alehman,
I must do some load flow and short circuit calculations.
My concern is about the reactances required by IEC 60909 for the short circuit calculations. At least I need the saturated values of Xd and X"d.

Thank you in advance
Alex

Dear Alex.
I send to you some typical data :
Data for turbogenerators:
1. Subtrnsient reactance ( saturated) x"d in% 9-22 (low values for low voltage generators)
2. Transient reactance (saturated) x"d in % 14-35 ( for very large generator 40-45% 1000MVA)
3. Synch reactance (unsaturated) xd in % 140-300 (saturated value 5 to 20% lower).
4. NPS reactance x2 in % 9-22 ( in general x2=0.5(x"d+x"q) also valid for transient).
5. Zero seq reactance x0 in % 3-10
it's typical data. I check my calculation for 3 last generator: 80MVA 11kV, 25MVA 6.6kV and 5MVA 6.6kV
more or less Xd( saturated)= 220-260%, xd ( unsaturated)= 22-27%
Best Regards.
Slava
