Are there any issues or limitations with routing 69kV XLPE Power Cable in cable tray in an industrial environment? What about above ground conduit?

I usually see such installations as being installed underground but this is located in an existing industrial facility where UG routing is not really practical. There are existing pipe & cable racks which could potentially be used for supporting cable tray or conduit.

Thanks

A cable tray is a suitable means to run a 69 kV power cable. The cable should be fastened to the tray and EGC should be considered with the appropriate size.

The conduit can also be used. Careful should be exercised with a single-core cable running in steel conduit to avoid heating and hysteresis losses

See the illustration below that may have some answers to your enquire.
