Good afternoon, everyone. I will list all of my information/code and move on to my question.
NACE MR0175
API 6A/16A
ASME IX
BM: 8630 mod
Quench: 1600F/20Hr
Temp: 1250F/12Hr
UTS requirement for weldment: 105 ksi
YS: 90 ksi
CVN -75F 30/25
HV10: 250
The problem I am having is I cannot find a filler metal without more than the NACE requirement of less than 1% Ni to hold up to the PWHT cycles that will be required (most likely 4-8 hours)
I do know that NACE has an out for the SSC testing, but I do not have any experience with this. I'm not sure how well using something like 11018-D2 would perform under such testing. (I've been told there is one without the -M designation that has less nickel but I have been unable to source any)
We have used 10018D2 in the past for 4130 BM repairs but it doesn't have the oomph needed.
I'm basically looking for anyone who has experience with this or can recommend info on the SSC testing or some filler metal that I haven't come across. The customer is asking us to do this because he cannot find anyone that has such a procedure.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
