ASME II PART. A, SA 234 WPB, PAR. 5.1:

"The material for fittings shall consist of killed steel,
forgings, bars, plates, seamless or fusion-welded tubular
products with filler metal added and shall conform to the
chemical requirements of Table 1"

Question: may I use a pipe, as raw material for a curve, which is NOT killed steel? The final curve will be certified as 234 WPB.
Thank you

So the exact meaning of the paragraph is:

"The material for fittings shall consist of
killed steel
AND
forgings OR bars OR plates OR seamless or fusion-welded tubular
products with filler metal added
AND
shall conform to the chemical requirements of Table 1"

So "killed steel" and "chemical requirements" conditions shall be valid for any product reported in the list "forgings OR bars OR plates OR seamless or fusion-welded tubular
products with filler metal added".

Correct?
