I am looking for information on the structure of an Allen Bradley PLC code in order to create a program that will generate my PLC code. While I don't expect this to be an end-all to programming, but so much of our code is the same with variance of how many and what types of components are added. I already have a generation piece working for the ControlLogix (RSLogix 5000 compatible) but it is somewhat of a mess due to the header information. Anyone with any ideas, please let me know.

I have pretty good luck using Excel to make the RSLogix L5K files. I think that is the easiest way to go. As far as the header info, I just use the same info that is there when I export and then import into a test file when I have made the changes/additions. From there, I cut and paste into the program I'm working on.
