Can anyone explain to me how a ceiling mounted cassette unit works. I have chosen this form of comfort cooling over an FCU/AHU system and I need to find out exactly what is involed in a Mitsibushi type ceiling unit.
Any help will be appreciated

That works exactly as a split AC unit. From my past experience, I warn you about draining condensate. Provide enough slope to the drain piping otherwise drain pan will fill up and water starts dripping from your false ceiling.

The problem of improper draining comes when you have centralized lintels or beams at false ceiling level.

I have used many types of indoor unit and have found the Mitsibushi cassette to be very good.

I agree with quark about the condensate drain, in my experience, the main reason to call-back the installer is for incorrectly installed condensate drains.

ps. I don't work for Mitsubishi!!
