Hi,
Currently I'm designing a test cell for an engine. one of the sensors that I need is In-Cylinder pressure sensor. I know they are either piezo or the optical ones. Is there anybody has some practical information on how to mount them on the cylinder head and the possible sources on the internet to buy? The sensor should have at least 25Khz bandwidth respecting to the nature of pressure inside the cylinder and combustion process and withstand the high pressure inside the combustion chamber.

Thanks in advanced for any help.
Cheers

Try checking out Endevco. I have used their dynamic pressure transducers on our engines. Depending on temp, you may consider remotely attaching the transducer via a stainless steel tube to the cylinder. I don't know if that will be possible or not in your applications.

Thanks for your help. I'll check that.

Cheers
