My wife and oldest son were big backpackers when he lived at home (after 10 years in the Army and 4 deployments, I think that the allure of backpacking has faded for him, but as a teen he was avid). My younger son and I tended to avoid any campsite without close-in parking. My boys got me a "camp kitchen" for Christmas one year, it weighs about 75 lbs and barely fits in an SUV, they call it my "backpacking kitchen". I'm sure that when they see the tent inside the concrete structure they'll call the whole thing a "backpacking tent".
Pretty cool structure, looks like it is trying to do the same job as a Quonset Hut, but better.
