A2 HEAT TREATED/ANNEALED VS MARTENSITIC SS

I'm working at a grinding company that uses A2 hardened steel as a base plate for a grinding process. The plate is raised and lower at a certain degree with wire attached to it. The plate then moves into the diamond or resin grinding wheel and angles are ground into the tips of the wire.
I'm finding that the plates are being warped, placing them under an indicator I see that they are a .005" bowed in the middle. I cannot determine if this is caused by the grinding process, the wire is being forced down on the plate by some force, could it be giving it memory? or perhaps was it the annealing process?
I'm looking for a material that has could replace the A2, it would have to have to stand up to the grinding, be very durable, and have a decent corrosion resistance. Is martensitic steel a possible candidate?

A2 is a pretty stable material if heat treated correctly.

Comeback with a little better description of the fixture and how it used.

Like the shape of the plate and is any pressure applied to to the plate while grinding.
Is the plate ever heated?

The fixture that the plate is attached is a table that the plat over hangs. There is a pneumatic top plate that holds the wire to the A2 bottom plate. The top plate moves back and forth, giving the wire pieces rotation. The A3 bottom plate is attached to the table by bolts, which are fastened with a torgue wrench so that it cannot be over tightened.
The A2 plate has a 15 degree 1 inch chamfer on it, giving it a trapezoid look. It does come in contact with the grinding wheel.
I'm trying to narrow down the reason why the piece is being warped, and as of now I'm looking at the material type.

I don't think the changing of the plate material is going to help. It should act as spring.
If the A2 material was hardened properly it should be stable unless a considerable mass is removed, extreme pressure applied, or the metal is heated.

How was the camber in the plate achieved?
Was the plate heat treated before the camber was made?
How thick is the plate?
What is the hardness of the plate?

I'm just trying visualize the apparatus as we ground thousands of points and profiles on 1 and 2 mm wire of all descriptions.
