I recently went to a A2K4 class and learned of the Tool Palette. It is my understanding that Borders with Attributes can be added to the tool palette. However items such as (hatches), on the tool palette are not linked to the original file, such as (C:\Program files\AutoCAD 2004\support\acad.pat). This means that if I update our Borders with Attributes, located on the network, then the Borders with Attributes on each computers Tool Palette will not be updated since they are not linked. Is there not a system variable or other switch to correct this? In correcting this, will it invalidate the custom scale, rotation, line weight etc. of the (hatches) on the Tool Palette?

Does anyone have a suggestion?

If your "BUTTON" on your tool palette points to a file (the border) on the server, then would would you think it wouldn't update for everyone?
Unless I'm missing the question.

If everyone button points to the server for the "block" then everyone should get the same block, provided you haven't changed the filename.

As for the "hatch" comment ...
The hatch is a living item, it's not frozen like a block, so this makes sense to be a little different from everyone else.

I hope i answered something.

Sorry in advance if I misunderstood it all ... [sadeyes]
