Someone who can help me to understand the difference between A335 P91 and A182 F91.

I have send the offer about A335 P91 to manufacturer and the manufacturer answer that the materials are A182 F91. It confuses me a lot.

Someone who can give some idea about the difference and can I use the A182-F91 instead of A335 P91?

These are ASTM specifications that pertain to material product form, use and composition. So, for ASTM A 335 this is for seamless pipe and is Grade 91 material. For A 182 this is forged or rolled pipe flanges, forged fittings and valves and parts for high temperature service.

You should review the ASTM specifications to gain a better understanding of product form limitations and use;

Thanks your reply.

I am looking for pipes which is made of A335p91, but manufacturer offer me the pipes made of A182 F91. I know A182 F91 is for flange, fitting, but I don't know whether I can trust the manufacturer's statement to use the pipes made of A182 F91 instead of A335 P91?

By the way, I cannot open the link which you have provided.

For Grade 91 pipe, I would go back to the manufacturer and tell them either ASTM A 335 or ASTM A 369. Otherwise, find another manufacturer. The pipe specifications A 335 and A 369 provide specific testing requirements for pipe.

The ASTM link works fine for me. I provided it so that you can purchase the necessary ASTM specifications. You need to review them, and to do that you need to purchase them for a nominal price.
