A387 Grade 5 supplier - North America

I am seeking a supplier for a very small quantity of 5-chrome plate, to be used for machining corrosion test coupons. Would anyone be able to point me to a North American supplier? I have been searching in the web, with very limited success. Everything seems to come up as UK or India.

You will be hard pressed to find a supplier in North America for a small quantity of this material. Your best bet would be to find a manufacturer that uses larger quantities of this plate and see if they would be willing to sell you some drop or excess material.

If the plate only serves a corrosion test purpose, what's wrong with getting it from the countries you listed? A simple chemistry check will adequately verify the material you have procured.

As posted above it's hard to get a few fasteners except at Big Box Store.

You might want to ALSPI for your corrosion test coupons.
