I have been manufacuturing components using an AA6xxx and now i want to use AA5xxx. unfortunately i am having problems machining the component from AA5xxx. Although it is difficult to manufacture this component, is there way or best technique (either expensive or not) of manufacturing the 5xxx without difficulties. Is there any thing that i can do to manufacture the AA5xxx without difficulties?

What are your machining problems otherwise you will not receive help??

Thanx Metengr. The machining problems i am having is related to the surface finish during the final stage of the tunning process. There is a material build up at the tip of the cutting tool, resulting in a continous scratches forming along the cutting direction. However i have to continously get rid of the materials that are bulding up at the tip of the cutting tool in order to get a smooth surface finish. Remember with 6xxx there is no material buildup at the cutting tool and the final surface is smooth.
