AASHTOWare BrR - 3D FEM bug?

I was doing a QC of a load rating and noticed that BrR doesn't seem to be generating load effects for vehicles that have a lane load applied with them. For example, the AASHTO lane type legal vehicle for negative moment of continuous span ( i.e. the modified Type 3-3). This is true of the pre-programmed lane type legal as well as when we apply the .2 klf lane load to client specific legal loads.

It seems these vehicles + lane run just fine when doing a line girder analysis, but not for a 3D FEM. The vehicles run just fine when there is no lane load defined and will run after the lane load has been removed.

Anyone else experienced this? I'm not an expert in BrR, I haven't found any comments online about this being a bug and we did just upgrade to the latest version 6.8.4.

Sorry, I don't have any experience with AASHTOware BrM as I either use BRASS Girder for simple load ratings or make my own full 3D FEA for complex load ratings. However, whenever I find a bug with BRASS Girder, there is an avenue for submitting a question in which the developers themselves review and respond. If you press them on it, sometimes I get an answer back in a few days... There have been instances where they will issue me a patch right then and there. Does BrM have anything like that?

I've reached out to them. Hopefully hey can provide a solution.

It doesn't answer your question - but in my opinion BrDr as a system is a "bug". If state DOTs didn't force its use, nobody would use it!
