Good morning,
I'm trying to use the AM plug-in in Abaqus 2022.
I've run into a few hiccups and am looking for help.

The example found at this link, with the given input file, generates errors that variables are not recognized or supported, even though the file is directly from Dassault.

Secondly, the AM plug-in requires Eigenstrains as an input. Using the inherent strain method of AM simulation, those Eigenstrains are computed from a thermomechanical simulation of just one or two layers. However, EEIG is not recognized as an output. I can use IE and THE as an output workaround, but I'm new to doing a sequential thermo-mechanical simulation. The example on the Dassault site has multiple input files, and has similar issues with errors of "keywords/parameters not yet supported by input file reader". On top of that, the thermo model has missing section assignments and property definitions. I also don't know how to feed the output of the thermo simulation into the mechanical input file. I'm very lost on this and the documentation is lacking, to say the least.

Does anyone have experience with Eigenstrain AM simulations? Any help appreciated.

Search in abaqus documentation "Importing a model from an Abaqus input file". Not all keywords of input file are supported in CAE GUI.

Importing directly in CAE=> model gives warning regarding the keyword not supported yet. You can use Keywords Editor to include functions not supported. For details see "Adding unsupported keywords to your Abaqus/CAE model"

It’s better to avoid importing inp files to CAE in such cases, unless absolutely necessary. Depending on what you want to achieve, you can run the analysis from the command line (without the use of Abaqus/CAE) or import what’s supported by CAE and recreate the rest. For example, you can import just the mesh, create geometry from it if needed and do the rest of the setup in Abaqus/CAE with AM Modeler plug-in. It can be a good exercise to learn about AM process simulations in Abaqus.
