Hello together,
I am currently working on an Abaqus model in which I modelled a pile being rammed into the ground. This pile is modelled withRayleigh damping. My question is how can I measure the energy loss due to Rayleigh damping? Is there a specific output I can use? So far I only found that viscous dissipation energy gives the losses by damping ( Is that correct? Because if I use this output I get that only 600J out of an input energy of 600kJ is dissipated... I hope somebody can help me
Kind regards,
skywalker
