Abaqus 6.9 Explicit and Implicit

Hello all,

The abaqus documentation has some good explanations of the differences, pros and cons of using abaqus explict and Implicit, but I cant seem to find much explanation regardings its application in abaqus. Is there a section within abaqus for making the choice between implicit and explicit analysis? I know you can choose implicit or explicit mesh types. However, I am looking for the dynamic, explicit step but can't seem to find this even though I have defined my element types and explicit.

Any help would be much appreciated.

When you create a step you get a choice of analysis type.
