Hello, i am kind of new to abaqus and i am trying to simulate an open hole plate reifnorced with carbon fibres. The fibres should be aligned around the hole based on previously calculated load paths. The example shows two fibre splines around the hole, which are implemented as beam elements and constrained as embedded elements in the matrix. The plate is put under uniaxial tension.
According to the symmety the stress distribution in the upper and lower spline should be the same. I tried different boundary conditions and different mesh styles and sizes. Furthermore the coordinates of the splines are completely symmetric and placed in the center of the plate.
So i am wondering about the cause of this antisymmetry...
Thanks for your help!
