Abaqus adaptivity process mesh

Hello

I am working on a model using the Adaptivity technique
,How can I capture the mesh seed (mesh density) in a form of python script
as I need to convert the TET elements of one part to HEX elements
in order to use ALE technique

Can't you mesh this part with hex elements from the start ? Is its geometry complex ?

Unfortunately I can't ,it is a contact problem and the shape is very complex

Abaqus may not be able to mesh complex geometries with hex elements but there are advanced meshers like Hypermesh or Ansa that can handle even very complex shapes using hexa block technique. And tetrahedrons are often sufficient for problematic geometry unless some internal standards used in companies require hex meshes or the problem is really specific.

I will try to use one of them , as I need HEX element to use ALE adaptive mesh , which requires Hex elements
