Hello every-bodies. I hope to be understandable because I'm French and I can't speak English so good as I wish !

I try to use the Johnson-Cook law behaviour with strain rate dependence but in spite of a clearly identify of parameters (with an optimization method independently of any simulation - comparison of analytic formula an experimental data).

With some others parameters, the simulation works well but I thing there is limitation about the variabilities of the parameters (the doc don't mention it). I actually use a "static, general" step but I've recently seen in the doc that a material instability as softening may only be computed with an "static, Riks" analysis. It seems there is no really possibility to steer the time but I envisage in the future to vary the speed of deformation.

However, It works well with the Cowper-Symonds law behaviour plus the Johnson-Cook strain rate dependence with correct parameters of the strain rate factor).

I'm so sure that softening occur during simulation. I don't study cycling loading.

Does anyone explain how to use an analysis with "static, Riks" ?

Thank you for your help.
