Hi, I am trying to model a cantilever-reinforced concrete slab with in-plane displacement loading along one edge while the other edge is fixed. I am using CDP for concrete and bilinear for reinforcement. Two layers of reinforcement run in both directions. This is a 3D model with C3D8 for concrete and T3D2 for reinforcement. One of the problems I am facing is that even if I apply a very large displacement, the load-displacement does not show a drop. It was my understanding that the capacity of the slab is indicated by the load after which we see a drop in the load-displacement. Can I please get some help regarding this?

It's hard to say without seeing the model and knowing the details of the analysis but if you have any doubts regarding the material model, it's good to perform a single-element test on it.
