ABAQUS: Crash contact issue

I am currently modelling a composite structure (shell elements) impact against a rigid barrier (rigid elements) with Abaqus 2016, using the add-on CZONE.

CZone add-on in Abaqus 2016 forces the user to use a contact pair interaction (surface-to-surface), rather than a much easier general contact, between my crashbox (composite structure modelled with shell elements) and my barrier (rigid elements).
My contact is defined as requested in CZONE documentation:

*Contact Pair, interaction=Crush_Properties, mechanical constraint=PENALTY, weight=1., cpset=Crush
ImpactPlate_surf, Wall1_ext
ImpactPlate_surf, Wall2_int
ImpactPlate_surf, Wall3_ext
ImpactPlate_surf, Wall4_int

where the walls_ext are the outer surface of the wall of the crashbox. I tried with the inner surfaces and with all combinations of both to see if the problem was there.

When I do this I get a strange behaviour and I do not understand where it comes from: the crashbox passes through the rigid barrier, "desintegrating", like in a cheese grater or something.

Any help would be appreciated. The output image is attached.

When you set weight=1, then the first surface will be master. But I think you want the rigid wall to be master, right?

Mustaine3 thank you for your response. Yes, I want the the rigid wall to be the master - I called it ImpactPlate. The walls you see there are the walls of the box that is being crushed. So unfortunately that's not the error...
