Hi, friends from ENG-TIPS,
I am using ABAQUS for structure dynamic analysis.
There are different elements in my model.
I was wondering the difference between defining damping coefficients in material and defining them as 'Global Damping' during dynamic analysis.
I tried to give some impulse load in my model to do the damping test. It seem that the responses are not damped...
I was using the eigen-frequencies of the whole model to define the alfa and beta.
Best,
Jungao
