Hi everyone,
i'm currently trying to analyse a 2D planar wire truss system undergoing a temperature rise to measure the level of expansion of the truss sides. however when submitting the job for analysis i get the error message: "DEGREE OF FREEDOM 11 AND AT LEAST ONE OF DEGREES OF FREEDOM 1 THRU 6 MUST BE ACTIVE IN THE MODEL FOR *COUPLED TEMP-DISP. CHECK THE PROCEDURE AND ELEMENT TYPES USED IN THIS MODEL."
can anyone help with how this can be resolved? is a "coupled temp- displacement" the correct step to be using for a simple rise in temperature? i've tried changing the element type in the mesh to truss but this hasn't helped.
any replies would be greatly appreciated.
