Hello everyone,
I am modeling a gap opening behavior with axial connectors. The axial connector connects two shell elements. When I ran Abaqus/standard, there is no deformation in one of the shell elements. However, during the Abaqus/Explicit analysis, the shell elements deforms at the points where axial connectors connected. I reduced the deformation by assigning the hourglass control:enhanced, yet could not eliminate. I was wondering how can model the axial connectors that will not cause deformation in the elements.
Thank you.
