Dear Members,
I am a self taught ABAQUS Explicit User and if this is a very trivial question I apologize. I want to simulate an Impact of an Impactor (Cylinder) to a Measuring Device consisting of two plates and a spring.
The impactor impacts the measuring device with a defined velocity. Important for the analysis is the mass of the impactor. For this I have assigned a Point Mass in the property-->inertia tool (verfied by Query). But changing the mass from 1kg to 1 ton the resulting contact force does not change so I assume, that the mass is not properly respected.
I am interested in the contact forces on the side of the silicon plate. A pictore of the model is here:
Thank you very much
