Abaqus Job Status Disappearing

Hello,

I have been having an ongoing problem with running Abaqus jobs lately. After submitting each job, the status will change to "Running" and, and the monitor tab will show that it is indeed running. I tend to run large jobs (many elements, dynamic explicit coupled temperature-displacement analysis) and the computer I am using is older, so it takes a while for frames to start showing up in the ODB. However, when I come back to check on the job later on, the job status will no longer be "Running" and won't be Aborted either. There will simply be no status and no results. Does anyone have any experience with this issue?

[FEA way]

It's better to submit large jobs without Abaqus/CAE - via the command line. Then just watch the output files (sta, log and so on) to see the progress. If you are not sure if the analysis is still running, check the Process Explorer.

May be the results are still being saved in the analysis folder due to large file size (in 10's of GB's). Hit right click and refresh in the results folder and see if .odb file size changes with each click. Then open the file when size is not changing after clicking refresh.
