I've been working on this specific models for several weeks now and I have to do little modifications on a specific part. Every time I do a little modification, I received an error message that in the assembly the regeneration failed. When I launch the analysis, ABAQUS crashes. I then reopen it, and launch the analysis and everything goes smooth.

Any idea of what's happening and how to solve it? Never had this problem before

THank you

Failed regeneration error means that some features of your model couldn’t have been updated after the changes you made. For example if you applied a reference point to some point belonging to the geometry and now this point doesn’t exist anymore (due to chamges in geometry) then this RP will fail to regenerate. Try to remove such features or replace them with correct ones before running the analysis. Search for them in the model tree, they will be marked with red exclamation mark.

Ok thank you. Do you think that's what makes the model crashing everytime?

Crashes shouldn’t occur at all but I think that what causes them in this case is that there are unresolved feature regeneration issues. Possibly also model size may influence it.

Try saving the .cae file with a new name. This enforce a reorganization of the database. Maybe that solves the problem.
