Hi, i have a simple problem.
Suppose, a cube is there with sides 10 units.
Now, a pressure of 16 units is applied on the top of the cube whose bottom is fixed.
The cube is meshed into 8 elements (C3D8R).
I want to find the nodal force at the central node i.e at the centroid. (linear elastic analysis considering the material property of steel)
The nodal force (not reaction force) is extracted using NFORC in vertical direction using OBD output request. The results are not proper especially when a node is shared by several elements. How to extract the nodal force accurately.
RESULT : The central node should give 400 units as nodal force instead it is giving only 100 units.
Thanks in advance,
Tanmoy
