Abaqus Python Script - Distance between two nodes

Hi,

I need create a script using a command to find the distance between two node using Python Script.
Anyone could help me, please?

e.g. A beam has been compressed and it suffer plastic strain.
In my real case, I need to find the final height of a coil spring after pre set.

I imagine you are not familiar with with Python? If that is the case, then I suggest taking a few days (a few hours per day) to learn it because it is a very useful tool. Then, switch over to Abaqus+Python; the documentation is an excellent resource. There are many examples in the manual also. So, all you'd have to do is figure out how to extract the nodal coordinates, rest is easy.
