I am a fairly new user of Abaqus and atm I am doing some trials with composite stiffened panels.
I am trying to use 'abaqus restartjoin' command to combine a few .odb files. I have used this command before and it has not behaved like so.
A frame from the original .odb
A frame from the restart .odb *To be clear, this only happens after I use 'abaqus restartjoin' command to combine original and restart .odb. Both .odb files behave just fine on their own!
There could be only 2 reasons I could think of might be the cause. First, is that some of the instances are inserted in the simulation via linear pattern (so I can keep the 'Part' module tidy). Second, might be due to the way the cohesive elements are superimposed with the rest of the parts. I could adapt if it is to be the first thing but I hope it is not the second possibility, as I don't want to change this modeling technique. Any advice as to what might be the cause of this? Thank you
