Hi all,

While the structural nonlinear anlysis was running, this message appeared and the analysis continued normally.

" Traceback (most recent call last):
File "Python/monitorMechanism.py", line 285, in read "

But later, when the 30% of the analysis was completed, this error ocurred and the analysis stopped without any error message in the .msg or .dat file.

" error: (10054, 'Connection reset by peer')
Error in job panel: The executable C:\ABAQUS\6.6-1\exec\standard.exe aborted with system error code 29539. Please check the .dat, .msg, and .sta files for error messages if the files exist. If there are no error messages and you cannot resolve the problem, please run the command "abaqus job=support information=support" to report and save your system information. Use the same command to run ABAQUS that you used when the problem occurred. Please contact your local ABAQUS support office and send them the input file, the file support.log which you just created, the executable name, and the error code.
Job panel aborted due to errors. "

Anybody knows what does this mean and which could be the solution?

As the message states, the Abaqus Standard process aborted during the solution. All the rest of the error message relates to the fact that when Standard aborts, the solver messages being monitored in /CAE will cease (thus the monitorMechanism reference).

So look at your msg/sta/dat files to see where the solution was when things went bad.

(BTW: This was recently discussed in the Abaqus yahoo group. Did you see that thread?)

Thanks for the answer brep.I haven´t seen that thread in the abaqus yahoo group but I will search it in order to try to solve this problem.

In any case, I have tried runnig this analysis 3 or 4 times and in each attempt the error ocurred in diferent moments: the first time the error ocurred when the 35% of the analysis was completed, the second time when only the 11% of the anlysis was completed... So it´s a little bit strange, isn´t it?

Thanks all

Hi again

Reading some threads, I have seen that buckling could be the cause of this error. The model is a thin sheet stiffened with a stringer(a T structural shape), and running a buckling analysis I´ve seen that it has 100 buckling modes before it reaches to the total applied load. Do you think that this could be the reason??

How can I run a nonlinear analysis in this model?? Till now I´ve performed the analysis turning nlgeom=yes but as I´ve said before, it didn´t work:

" *STEP, name=Perturbation, nlgeom=YES
*STATIC
0.02,1.,1.e-5,0.1 "

Apart from using nlgeom, should I use RIKS with *IMPERFECTION ??

After trying lots of diferent things I accidentally found the solution of this problem. The cause was the Firewall that was installed in my computer.
