ABAQUS SSD, Modal : Define damping for aluminium plate

Hello,

I do not know how to define damping for my aluminium plate in the step SSD Modal analysis. In the 1st Step (Frequency) I use SIM-based linear dynamic and I thought that it calculate a kind of damping for my plate but I am not sure.

So am I right with the SIM Based linear dynamic?
How can I manually set the damping for my aluminium plate?

Damping has to be defined by the users and there are multiple ways to do it. The Analysis Users Guide tells you more.
