Hey. I've been using Abaqus for quite some time now so I'm quite familiar with the software. I'm currently working on a project which I am modeling in Abaqus. It is a 3D wire structure. I have several components and I need to tie these pieces together at various nodal locations. I have successfully done this and run natural frequency analyses on different configurations. Why question is this...
What is the most efficient way to tie multiple nodes together?
Here is my process:
1. Position all components correctly (using position constraints)
2. Apply tie constraints to the required nodes. I have to hide certain instances so that I can choose just the node for that master, then i have to systematically hide other show/hide other instances so I can select the slave nodes.
The above process is very time consuming especially with complicated designs. Is there a way to some how select a group of overlapping nodes and tie them simultaneously?
