Hey,

I did a (now multiple) Topology-Optimizations but my Job keeps beeing aborted and i got this messages:

Background is: I have to my a example of a round body where both flat sides are a non design part, the rest have to get topology optimized.

Best regards
Steffen

What are the settings of objectives and constraints in this case ? It looks like a wrong setup of the optimization task.

i just made strain energy as target to be minimized in the objectives and set volume in the constraints to less than 50%

Have you tried running any other optimization cases before ? Sometimes there are issues with the configuration of Tosca itself, although in this case, it seems to be a different problem.

i tried normal analysis, but i just can't explain it, why i keeps crashing

This is my body i want to optimize. One side is fixed and the other has a load of 63 Mpa.

I would try a simple benchmark model first. Something like a typical cantilever or simply-supported beam. If you set the optimization task correctly for such a model and it still crashes then there must be a problem with Tosca. It’s a separate solver, only connected to Abaqus and there are issues with this connection sometimes.

thanks! I did a view other simplier task and they're all failed... so i guess it is a connection problem. Do you know how i can fix it? restart tosca or something?

Which version of Abaqus are you using ? Update or reinstall may help.
