Hello team.

I am looking for a UEL file for a simple elastic 2D and/or 3D higher-order element (quadrangular with 8 nodes, triangular with 6 nodes, hexahedral with 20 nodes, tetrahedral with 10 nodes).
Where I could find such a file?
In other words, I wish to replace the build-in higher-order elements of Abaqus with a UEL file. I have found on the internet related files for "UMAT elastic" or "UEL elastic triangular with 3 nodes", that replace the elastic material property, and the triangular with 3 nodes element of Abaqus, respectively.

Thanks a lot!

Unfortunately, it’s hard to find ready-made examples of Abaqus subroutine codes, especially when it comes to such an advanced subroutine like UEL. But if you already have a code for the first-order element then you should be able to convert it into code for the second-order element relatively easily. It may be helpful to refer to the Abaqus Theory Guide where you will find information about the formulation and shape functions of built-in Abaqus elements. General finite element textbooks may also be useful.
