I have a few ACS800 VFDs on a project. The drive seems to be good, but is incredibly complicated and has about 300 parameters. The application is actually pretty simple, consisting of manual control via a local control station with start and stop pushbuttons and speed up and speed down pushbuttons. In auto, we will use a fieldbus adapter and give the same info to the drive, only use a register value for speed control.
For now, I just want a drive to run properly from the local control station, but the manual is not clear.
Does anyone have a canned setup for, or packaged literature on setting up, an ABB ACS800 drive?
We have 3 drives, with the largest being about 100 HP, but the firmware seems to be the same on all sizes of ACS800.
