Let me know if this doesn't meet forum rules! We have 3 x 50MVA 11kV 3000 rpm ABB Generators. These were constructed around 1972 and all need the rotor insulation replaced. For a long time it has been creeping out from between rotor bars and while it can be trimmed is now at the stage that we need to replace it. This will take a bit of time and we have no backup power source (i.e. not grid connected). I thought it would be worth asking if anyone knows about an ABB generator of this size being decommissioned to get some spare parts.
