I have interfaced in my P&ID diagram to some abbrivation which I don't have any refrence to recognize them. for instance when I have PIA, It mean's pressure indicator with alarm. but I need a standard list which I can verify any abbrivation. any information will be highly appriciated.

ISA 5.1 provides instrument symbols and the alphabetical soup for tag names.

As a note, PI with alarms are still usually tagged as a PI. The alarm is shown either as a second bubble, or an alarm to the PI.

Not to say that PIA is incorrect, it is just that I have never seen a tag PIA-xxx. It is usually PI, or PI and PAH/L.
