Hello everyone,

I want to learn catia static analysis.

I made some examples but generally giving problems. For example in holes. I am closing them and making analysis again but giving in another part again. I heard before catia giving problems generally in static analysis?

I want to learn this topic. If I try to make a simulate a problem on book may I see catia same values?

Could you send me some example internet adresess or document for learning this topic well.

Is there any your ways to take not any problem with catia static analysis.


For example

1. Close holes.
2. Collect all parts in a part and make analysis like that or product analysis is better?
3. ... etc.

Catia is good on static analysis compare with Solidworks maybe?

My questions:
When analyzing an assembly group, is it good to take the whole group into catia and analyze it by installing constrains between them? Otherwise, would you recommend meeting and analyzing the entire product in a lot. Assigning constrains to the Product will also result in a separate time spent.
Also, in this case, even though the material was assigned to each body, I saw that only the main partbody was analyzed. Other bodies need to assemble (add) to the main partbody. In this case, if a piece is plastic, for example, does catia give its plasticity to the body in the analysis?

If the stress elasticity module has passed in the analysis data, it can be said or an exaggerated form of the analysis may be an indication of this situation? I found several examples on the Internet. (There is an example in the appendix) However, in order to be useful, can there be a chance to send a sample where both the individual part and the product are analyzed?

How would you suggest to write the rate here in the analysis? As below x / top 5x = 10/50? It may change depending on the part size, but?

your error message tells you what to do... do the displacement analysis, and you will probably see that you are missing some restraints... (your boundary conditions are missing; a clamp or some other restraint should be applided)

If you have any time solute this analysis part is on message. (catpart there is)

I will look what did you do and take it for me examples folder.

This is a simple example but it is not working / I could'not do it.

I want to see same results with my book to understand I am on true way and I believe catia static analysis give true results.

I am just trying to solute problems with analysis as if it is not frindship with designer?

I just want to solve this problems step by step and take way and start to learn this topic.

I will try another problem to solve after this in my book and learn this topic I hope.

I would like to answer your questions. Many of these answers apply not only to the CATIA but to all other software. All the analyzes your make in the CATIA are performed with elastic properties. You can't make sense of the plastic properties. When examined geometrically, if the positions of the holes are not critical, they can be deleted, but the approach is to make geometric simplification by wiping small-sized radiuses such as machining radius. Also, if there are elements such as bolt connections, you can perform them with virtual connections in the CATIA and minimize the analysis processes time. Attached, you can find the analysis data I made as an assembly. You should open it as CATIA V5R2015.
