Hi All,

I would appreciate your help concerning the following problem;

Recently my Abaqus stopped working and started giving this error:

ABQcaeG.exe has stopped working

I found out that this is due to graphics incompatibility. Abaqus offers a solution (answer ID 1249) in the SIMULIA Online Support System. They ask to add some lines to the abaqus_v6.env file but I cannot find this file in the directory.

I was wondering if anyone has encountered this problem before. Any help would be very much appreciated.

Thank you

I did not hear from anyone about the problem. So I downgraded my graphics card driver and Abaqus worked. It seems the problem appears when you upgrade your graphics card driver.

I had the same problem, and a driver update from ATI solved the issue.

Graphics Card: ATI Radeon HD5670
Graphics Driver Old (PROBLEM): 8.861.0.0000 (05/24/2011)
Graphics Driver New (SOLVED): 8.881-110728a-122939C-ATI (07/28/2011)

Thanks a2joe!
