I have a drawing with a tif file as a background to a water distribution system (instead of a proper digital map). This prints fine in autocad but when I send it to PDF print the PDF file shows lots of lines over the image.

Any Ideas why?

I have also had the same problem when using wipeout which produces small rasters behind the thing I want to display and when printed to PDF become completely black.

Help!!!

You might try a few different converters. eg PDF995 or PrimoPDF (a couple I.ve used). Who knows, give them a try.
