WHEN CRYOGENIC VESSEL(-196) MADE OUT IF SA 240 GRADE WITH SA 312 TP 304, 25 NB 10 SCH PIPELINE WHAT SHOULD BE ACCEPTACE CRITERIA FOR PIPE WELDING GTAW QUALIFICATION.

In general the assentic stainless tseel have very good mechanical properties at -196C. If my memory is correct the tensile strength and toughness is greater at -196C than at ambient temp 30C. Therefore acceptance criteria should be the same as at room temperature.
 
Our requirements for welding of cryogenic components made from S/S were 100% RT. This was for both pipe and vessels. It used to UW-11 ASME VIII.
