Accessing all nodes material data during explicit simulation

Hello all,

I am attempting to compute a property for a node that is dependent on a non local phenomina, so I need information on nearby nodes, but not the same element. Ideally I would like to be able to write information to some kind of scratch space that is accessable, without a horrable overhead,and to collect it from the VUMAT. The usual user routines for accessing information is limited to elemenets in the same nblock. Any advice would be appriciated, I am running on a cluser so I dont think a file is a good idea because locations are varable and file access per increment is soo expensive.
