Hello
As part of an assembly analysis, I simplified individual components using Condensed Geometry. Prior to condensation, the relevant contact surfaces of these components were defined as Named Selections in order to access them via APDL commands (e.g., using CMSEL).
Although the settings specify that contact surfaces should be transferred to the solver, it is no longer possible to access the corresponding Named Selections via the command interface after condensation. The command CMSEL,S,Name does not return any entities, even though the Named Selections are correctly visible in the preprocessing environment.
Question:
How can I ensure that Named Selections of contact surfaces remain accessible via APDL commands (e.g., CMSEL) after applying Condensed Geometry? Are there specific procedures or limitations when working with Named Selections in combination with condensed components?
