Hi,
I have just created a custom material database file from our companies materials spreadsheet, so that I can now assign the materials with the right spec that our company uses for all our products.
I noticed that there is the facility to add custom fields too so I entered a lot of composition info. i.e 0,1% Silicon etc.
Having this information available could really help us work out what the chemical composition is for all our assemblies. There's just one small problem. I have now idea how to drill down into the information using VBA. I have searched the api help and can't see anything useful.
I can change the material of a part using
Part.SetMaterialPropertyName2 "Default", "...Database Location ...", "...Chosen Material Name ... "
How do I interrogate the part to get the list of custom properties from its material?
Your help is greatly appreciated.
