In an ACCU(Air cooled condensing unit) ,there are more than one condenser..Do all these compressors are turned ON when initially started..Or do they start in sequence?

well, if you electrical engineer, you already know what is practice in general - "normal" motors will start in sequence, while commuted motors can eventually have simultaneous soft start.

Taking general practice into account is not wise for an electrical engineer. He has the responsibility to be sure of what he is doing. The HVAC engineer won't bear responsibilty of anything.

If you mean for electrical rating, the ACCU manufacturer will tell you what the official electrical rating is. this takes into account how the unit actually operates. I find it hard to believe an electrical engineer would psychoanalyze the single components when there is one official manufacturer rating. I'd assume the manufacturer determined what the worst case rating is.

I hope you are right..I have those ratings..But you see I'm no that experienced electrical engineer..Hence the urge to double check everything..Anyways you said something beilevable..Thanks..

tips page is not good source of detailed check for specific system. all you have to do is to study control documentation of specific system.

20 years ago 99% of such systems worked with very the same schematics that could be found in general engineering manuals, but now it is not the case, so if you want exact details, study exact documentation.

Jsut give you electrical engineer the complete equipment documentation and he can figure out the correct value. I myself not electrical engineer as well and all the amp values can be overwhelming. It should be the E-designers responsibility to do that, not yours. the same way the E-engineer doesn't tell yo hoe many kW heating capacity he needs....
