Can someone explain the logic AutoCAD uses in updating .mns files? I am tinkering with a series of menus and was attempting to isloate all customization within the ACLT menu, save it as a seperate menu file, and maintain a generic "out of the box" version of the ACLT menu.
I have the menus seperated, but now the ACLT.mns file is not being updated. At first I thought that when I executed MENULOAD, and browsed to the directory "AcadLT2002/Support" for the generic ACLT.mns, and then loaded it, that maybe it was saving the new .mns in another directory but I couldn't find it anywhere. The previous version of ACLT.mns (with customized toolbars) was being updated in the root directory every time I moved a tool bar. Once I changed to the generic ACLT.mns, it only updated the compiled file .mnc. All of these files were tagged as "archive" by Windows 2000.
Am I missing something obvious, or is there a secret handshake? Is there something particular in the specified file paths under preferences that would cause this?
Any and all help is appreciated.
