Anyone have any experience of using acoustic leak detection for picking up releases of high pressure gases from process plant? This would be either as a replacement for conventional gas detection or as a supplement...help!
In addition to the on-line system mentioned by JEB66, there are multiple uses for portable accustic leak detection devices. They can be used to identify these otherwise invisible losses in compressed air / vacuum systems, steam traps and valves. It is also a means to detect worn bearings/gears and assure proper lubrication.
