I will install a liner in the first 10 feet of supply (10 tons, split system). Should I do the same in the ducted return?

Need further input.

Is it (split system) a draw-through or blow-through fan?

Does it have a return fan?

I'd line the return and not the supply. Supply you should consider a sound attenuator instead. Porous liners can become microbial farms with cycling of the cooling coil or humidification.

"microbial farms' I like that one

The way we build has a far greater impact on our comfort, energy consumption and IAQ, than any HVAC system we install
